Ogun State launches Agbeloba Aquaculture hub

The Ogun State government has launched an Aquaculture hub called Agbeloba Aquaculture Hub. This happened on December 30, 2020. The hub is located in Owiwi, Ewekoro LGA of the state.

It is aimed at addressing the problem of job creation and food security — which is a major problem in Nigeria. At the inauguration of the hub, the state governor, Dapo Abiodun disclosed that he wants the state to become a special agro-processing zone.

Governor Dapo Abiodun was not alone at the inauguration. Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was there too. Obasanjo is known for his big investments in agriculture in Ogun State.

Governor Dapo Abiodun used the occasion to commend the former president for his passion and investment in agriculture. Obasanjo owns the famous Otta Farm in Ogun state.
